Peace of mind

Following a heart attack. I was advised to monitor my Bp. The Omron Intelli Sense has been a Godsend as it was easy to set up and is super easy to use. I value the cuff and how it’s ergonomics make it easy to apply. Best feature is ability to download your history onto PDF which makes it easy to share with the medical professionals. I am re-assured as my Gp uses a similar machine.

Represents and displays useless data

Whilst the app works ok it is badly let down by the way in which it interprets the data. Over a day i like to take 3 readings morning noon and night so i will likely have 3 different readings. When you upload the data to this app and look at the graph it displays one reading that is an average in my case of 3 readings so looking at it I get zilch information that is totally irrelevant, nobody or health professional will act on ‘average’ readings of this nature, they certainly don’t give you medication based on average readings. Whilst it may be a useful statistic it is next to useless when the likelihood is you would like to see progress in the form of a chart when it is high low or acceptable during a day. I will now resort to manually inputting the info into a 3rd party app that gives me a correct historical graph. This was a complete disappointment.

Issues with transferring data to iPhone

The data transfer worked great for about 2 weeks after purchase. Then the new reading I took wouldn’t transfer to my iPhone 8 Plus. Everything looked normal just no transfer eventually got it working again after deleting Bluetooth connection and removing device batteries. I use the data in the Apple health app. The actual blood pressure device works well and seems very accurate it is very consistent compared to my old device.
