It won't even let me click on the Neg or Slide menu to scan them. I have an Epson Perfection V850 but the software says I have a V800. SilverFast Epson Scanner Software 8.0. Mac OS X 10.10.

Run osx app on windows. In the Keychain Access app on your Mac, in the Category list, select a category. Double-click a certificate. Click the Trust disclosure triangle to display the trust policies for the certificate. To override the trust policies, choose new trust settings from the pop-up menus. Open up your 'System Preferences' and head to 'Security & Privacy.' In the 'General' tab, you'll see a section called 'Allow apps downloaded from.' In order to change these settings, you'll have to click on the lock icon below and input your admin password.

Infrared cleaning works well with all types of color negative and color slide film, including Kodachrome. However, silver-based black/white film doesn't work with infrared cleaning because the silver particles look the same in visible light and infrared light.
