I used to think Time Machine was a little light on for progress information not displaying a progress bar and the like when it appeared to be doing nothing but now the App Store as well? Today I downloaded a few updates and for the second time noted that there were no progress bars or estimated time to completion.
Is it just me or is this a change?
When I open iTunes and iPhoto (and some others) I'm told that there are new versions/updates available. When asked whether I want to download them now, I click YES and it takes me to Software Update (as usual). However, when Software Update launches and searches for updates, it tells me that there are no new updates available. Here are the steps I've taken so far:
Reset manual settings (?? all I know is the Apple guy told me to restart the computer holding Command, Option, P and R I think)
Repaired permissions
Repaired disk (worked somewhat because it showed me the available updates but when I went to download them they said the server was unreachable and when I re-opened Software Update the updates were no longer visible)
Does anyone have any other brilliant ideas???
THANKS!
PS: The last successful update was on March 20 2010 with Safari 4.0.5 and a Digital Camera update.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Audible app for mac os x. Jul 08, 2018  I recently purchased a Pro (just a heads up I recently made the switch from PC to Mac.So I'm a little new), and it needed some software updates to install some of my coding programs I use.I went to updates under the App store and tried to download the most recent High Sierra (10.13.5).

Simply said, when they put their Mac to sleep, after a few minutes or hours, the system will just wake up on its own.But no, this isn’t some sort of sorcery or black magic. Mac no sleep mode app. So, you think your Mac is flawless and free of issues? As with other computers, it may experience problems. And just recently, numerous users have reported instances where their Macs always restart while on sleep mode.
